"Did you hear about the place that serves fresh pasta for under $10?" So began the buzz in the foodie community last summer about FIGO PASTA, the little (counter service only and no wine list) Italian do-gooder down Collier Road that offers 13 different types of pasta and nine sauces for mix-n-match possibility. Success came so quickly that owners Sandro Romagnoli and Mirko di Giacomantonio decided to open a second location, OSTERIA DEL FIGO, in the space vacated by Mondo at Howell Mill and Huff roads. The new digs, nearly as inexpensive as the first one, has table service similar to the old (and still mourned) Pasta da Pulcinella: Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Buon appetito!
